A new hat...

Well i did a late night photo session with my boy.  He likes the camera for about 5 mins and I was desperate to keep a fussy baby happy.  I had to use flash which I never like doing...but at 6pm on a rainy night what're ya gonna do?

under construction...

our house is in the process of a major overhaul in the living room.  The long awaited re-do is finally in the works so I may soon be happy with the looks of it!!

In the mean time....I caught a sleeping baby today!!

I'm bad with posting every day.  The life of a part-time working mommy is too much to take pics and post EVERY day. :)

Joel and I had a date night and I grabbed a pic of the skyline of Louisville from the bridge...

The reason why...

I have to say that the biggest reason that I wanted a DSLR camera is for this.  You can't capture these baby blues with a regular camera.  The color of his eyes are unedited, just highlighted...

and i just grabbed some more shots today for practice.  The sun never peaked out today so no good lighting :(

This is my little tornado that destroys my house 5x a day....

It's been great....

Well Ms. Canon point-and-shoot...it's been nice.  We've had our good times together and learned a lot about each other.  you boosted me into photography and I now LOVE it.  BUT it's time that we both move on to bigger and BETTER things.  Meet. MR NIKON!!!!

We hope to have a long, happy, and fulfilling relationship.  :)

Day 7 and making up

Ok this post is going to be picture HEAVY to make up for my lack of posting when I said I would  (sorry dad). I started my Wednesday at work, but afterwards I had until 3pm to get the kiddos so I grabbed some groceries, and then slapped some sandals on my feet, gave my toes a quick splash of color, threw some sandals on, and enjoyed the upper 60s!!!!  So I drove around town and took some quick pics, then took the kids to the park to meet daddy and play.  What a great day this turned out to be!
So we start at the beginning and give props to my hubby for my V-day flowers....

So i didn't want to leave Ms. K out on this assignment so today will be about her...

Days 4 and 5 are amiss and we're going straight to day 6...

Ok so i worked all day for 4 and 5 so pics weren't happening but here are some older ones to make up for them....I'll work on taking day 6 today...

This one is from an older session but it's before his toofie popped out and he was GNAWING on his blanket...

And it's VERY hard to get a clear picture of a wiggly, freshly cleaned, and cold baby boy...this is the best I could do....

Day 3

Day 3 will include a picture of my boy while it's also a collage of my baby and his baby things!  The things that he will soon grow out of, the things that are part of his nursery, and the things that make me smile.

Project...30 days and 30 pictures

So i'm on a countdown to purchasing my first DSLR camera and in the process of selecting one but until then (and after then) i'm going to make a project for myself.  I always took tons of pictures of my baby girl when she was little bitty....granted with only one baby I had more time!  BUT my goal for the next 30 days is to post a picture a day of him.  I may take multiple pics on one day and post from them for 2 days, but hey i do still work part time so cut me some slack.  To kick off the day I'll post this one of my baby boy and his daddy...

 

And then i think this may be my favorite snapshot to date of the kid...I love photography!!
