A mother's appreciation...

So today's travels brought me upon a field with a mother cow pushing her brand new calf across a field.  I grab my 200mm lens and get in as close as I can and notice that the calf still has it's leftover umbilical cord.  This is a brand new mommy (or mommy again) trying to get her calf to walk on it's own.  I was blocked by a wire fence from getting a perfect shot, but such is life!

...and this is why auto focus is annoying!

 At this point the momma cow had been staring at me for a while and I think this was her way of mocking me...take this paparazzi!!

But I caught a sweet moment of nature anyways....
